February 2011
Well done to all LCA1and 2 students on their wonderful performance in the recent task interviews. All examiners were very impressed by each and every candidate and we expect great results in the very near future.
Best of luck to all LCA 2 students who sit their pre-Leaving certificate examinations this wee++k. We hope this is a good experience for all students and that it will give students an opportunity to test their knowledge and plan for revision before examinations in June.
LCA 2 students are busy securing external work placements in preparation for their final work experience module in may. We wish them well with this and we take this opportunity to thank all employers for their on-going support in providing employment for our students.
Xmas 08
LCA students have just completed a busy term preparing for upcoming tasks and work experience. All students managed to secure work placements for this term and we wish everyone every success in their placement. LCA2 students were busy selling the school Christmas cards made by Ms Gallagher and all proceeds are to go to a local charity. LCA 1 students were busy entrepreneurs making and selling popcorn as part of their task for next term. Traditional Christmas logs were also made by LCA students under the guidance of Ms McCann. These were sold in the school as part of a task and the proceeds will also go to a local charity. LCA 1 Students visited the Beleek factory in Co Fermanagh with Ms Hanna this term as part of their enterprise class and all students had a very enjoyable day. Class examinations were given before finishing up for the term and we wish all students every success with these exams. Students will face a very busy term when they return after the Christmas break so we wish all students a relaxing, peaceful and happy Christmas. Well done on all the hard work this term
29th Aug '08
On August 29th the LCA 1 class of 2008 set off for Carlingford at 8am for a day of fun and
games but with a purpose! The group was working on team building and learning how important it is to work together with a common goal in sight. All students and their teachers Ms Corbett ( Tutor ) and Ms Flanagan ( Coordinator ) were met by a leader from the centre and set off for the beautiful harbour where activities to test the mind were set up. Each group had many difficult tasks to undertake and while some were not successful others rose to the challenge. more
