Multicultural Garden
On Thursday 22 October 2009 St Aidan's Comprehensive School community gathered with invited guests to open our multi cultural garden.
This garden was the brainchild of the Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA) class of 2008 and their teacher Ms Joanne Corbett and the present LCA class have helped to complete it.
The garden design consists of a paved area in the shape of a key; this represents the key of knowledge in our school crest. This motif suggests that education is a key, which has the potential to unlock the unknown, and there by become the key to life itself.
The flags represent the students and staff in our school from places as far apart as the Philippines, Poland, Great Britain, Malaysia, South Africa, Hong Kong, The Netherlands, Brazil, Lithuania, the United States of America, Zimbabwe, Italy and other European community states. This diversity has enriched our school community.
