TY on tour
The seventy or so Transition year students at St.Aidan’s in Cootehill must be among the luckiest boys and girls in the country thanks to the action packed educational programme on offer in the school. Two days are seldom the same for this year group, thanks in the main to programme Co-ordinator Ms. Sweeney and the hard working Tutor team of Mr. Mayne, Mr. Watters and Ms. Ni Bhaoill. Frequent seminars, workshops, guest speakers and educational trips, support a TY curriculum that is diverse, thought provoking and thoroughly engaging.
Recently returned from a 4 day outdoor adventure pursuit in Carlingford Co. Louth, the TY group are already planning their next expedition which is a trip to the European Space Station in Belgium! These students certainly agree that school days are the best time of your life.
