Protestant RI Retreat
The annual retreat for students of Prodestant faith took place on Thursday 13th October 2011. First stop was to Cootehill Presbyterian Church Hall where they were accompanied by their teachers Ms. Vogan, Rev. Rushton, Mrs. Rushton and Mr. Mills. A group called “Logos Ministries” worked with the students. A missionary from Mongolia who works in a remote area in India came to tell his story. Students learned about the country of India, Indian culture, Customs and traditions etc. They heard some amusing stories and interesting facts. Students learned about Bible Translations and how the Bible is still being translated into different languages. Pastor Colin Craighton entertained the students with some activities and fames which was a source of enjoyment. Following on from this, the students went to “The Zone” in Navan for some Go Kart Racing. Students participated in various races and then finished up with a Grand Prix. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all.
