Holland Trip 2009

We left the school at six in the morning on Monday the 12th October. We got to the airport at half seven or so. We had to wait on the plane from half nine to ten, as there was an air traffic delay.
We arrived at Kandinsky College in the afternoon. We had a small bit to eat and then left to Nijmegen for a walk. After that we met our host familys and went home to unpack. That night we went to the cinema with our exchanges in Nijmegen.
On Tuesday we had to go to school to do an art project. It took us until the afternoon and then we had a class of History and a class of Geography. We then had free time to do what we liked so some of us went to the shopping centre and others went home. That night there was a party organised for us in a local cafe/bar. It was a good night with plenty of craic.
On Wednesday we cycled the Granzand Dreisene to Germany. It took us around an hour and a half. We were in different groups, and we went shopping while in the town. We then had a tour of a museum, and after that we cycled back to Holland. That night a big group of us went bowling.
On Thursday we went to Amsterdam for the day. We visited an art museum and the Anne Frank house. We also went for a boat trip on the canal for sight-seeing. We also had free time to shop. That evening in Amsterdam we had a chinese meal. We then got the bus back to Kandinsky and went home for an early night.
On Friday we went to a WW2 museum and to a WW2 cemetary. It was really good fun as everyone was in good humour as it was the last day!!!
We went to the airport at 5.30 and had to wait until 10.30 for our flight. However there was good craic about.
All in all it was a great week!!
