Mangahigh Maths Games

All students in 1st year participated in the nationwide Mangahigh Maths Games competition as part of Maths Week 2018. There was great competition between the tutor groups. The overall tutor group winners were Rand Ide with 307 medals earned by all students. Maureen Enriquez won the individual competition from Rang Ide. The winners from each tutor group were as follows: 
Ide: 1st place Maureen Enriquez, 2nd place Tara Mc Glynn, joint 3rd place Colleen Mc Quillan and Aiste Jonaityte. 
Iarla: 1st place Naomi Gibson, 2nd place Sarah Marie Bannon, 3rd place Rebecca Vogan. 
Ina: 1st place Sarah Jane Ahearne, joint 2nd place Ali Patterson & Emily Reynolds, joint 3rd place Rebecca Mc Cann & Lee Martin. 
 
2nd year winners: 1st place Caolan Roberts, 2nd place Nikoleta Kogan, 3rd place was a three-way tie between Ciara Smyth, Aoife Doyle and Hannah Mooney. 
Congratulations and well done to all students for participating. The next competition will be the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge taking place in November. All students are registered so they can be practising the challenges from previous years along with the sample 2018 challenges.
