TY Tea Party

Well done to TY1 for all their hard work organizing and hosting a tea party for the elderly in the school library. This event was part of their SVP Youth for Justice project and also the Well Read Programme which involved meeting up and socializing with elderly people from the Darley Centre. Lots of treats such as cakes, apple tarts and buns were made by the Home Economics students (Ms. Hetherton's class) for everyone to enjoy with a hot cup of tea. Students set up the library and made posters to hang up about their time in TY. They also chose books that interested them from the library shelves and placed them on the tables for the elderly to have a look at and chat about. It is fair to say the day was enjoyed by all with lots of chat and a few songs and tunes from our wonderfully talented musicians in TY and 5th year.
